The Cortex Hub and Digital Skills Africa: Empowering Youth Through Technology

The Cortex Hub is thrilled to announce a powerful new partnership with Digital Skills Africa, a non-profit organisation (NPC) dedicated to igniting hope and driving socio-economic transformation through digital empowerment. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our core mission: supporting and nurturing the growth of socially impactful startups.

At The Cortex Hub, we've championed innovation for over a decade. We believe innovation thrives in a diverse and inclusive environment, fostered by transparency and collaboration. This has led us to create a supportive ecosystem where entrepreneurs can flourish.

Over the years, we've witnessed a growing skills gap in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) education, particularly among underprivileged youth in the Eastern Cape. We understand that a lack of exposure to technology and skills stifles innovation. As we enter our 11th year, education and training have become a cornerstone of our initiatives. From hosting fibre optics technical training programs, coding and robotics, to offering various other skills-building opportunities, we've consistently strived to bridge this gap.

This partnership with Digital Skills Africa perfectly complements our ongoing efforts. Together, we'll administer a range of Cisco Certifications such as , Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CyberOps Associate and DevNet Associate certifications to young people seeking to upskill themselves. These certifications will equip them with industry-recognised credentials, preparing them for immediate employment or further business incubation opportunities at The Cortex Hub.

Equipped with industry-grade technology and led by dynamic instructors, the Lab will empower young people in the Eastern Cape to acquire the skills and certifications necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving digital world, while encouraging peer to peer networking.
